Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to a fall of 10ft 6in while working from the forks
of a Lull:
a)Worksite -  Employee was observed working on a pallet from
the forks of Lull Model # 1044c-54. Employee was 10ft 6in in
the air without the proper personel basket.  On or about
04/03/01.
Abatement Notes:
a)Train employees in the proper procedures when elevating personnel on the
forks of a rough terrain vehicle,and
b)Provide the required personnel lifting platform when elevating employees
on
the forks of a rough terrain vehicle.
