Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  At establishment.  Building west side, automotive service area,
equipment position
south to north.  Receive injuries by crushing due to equipment failure,
from automotive
lifts, hydraulics, trademark Ben Pearson, models LMP 7, No.1; No.3;
No.4;(no serials
numbers); No.2 (serial no.43070); No.5 (serial no.43880); Two hydraulic
ramps,
trademark FMC.  At the time of inspection the automotives lifts were not
inspected.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to establish and maintain periodic inspections, in accordance
with ANSI/ALI
B153.1-1990.
a.  En establecimiento.  Edificio lado oeste, area servicio automoviles,
posicion de
equipos sur a norte.  Recibir lesiones por aplastamiento debido a falla de
equipo, por
elevadores autos, hidraulicos, marca Ben Pearson, modelos LMP 7, No.1;
No.3;
No.4;(sin num. series); No.2 (serie num.43070); No.5 (serie num.43880);
dos rampas
marca FMC, hidraulicas.  Entre otros metodos un metodo factible y
aceptable para
corregir este riesgo es establecer y mantener inspecciones periodicas, en
acuerdo con
ANSI/ALI B153.1-1990.
