Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment
which were free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to
employees in that employees were exposed to:
(a)The hazards of moving trucks and trailers while changing tires in the
yard at
Sysco Food Services without written work and safety procedures in place.
One feasible and acceptable method, among others, to abate this hazard is
to
develop written safety and operating procedures to protect the mechanics
from
inadvertent movement of the trucks by means such as:
(1) Removing the keys;
(2)Putting signs on the windshield and drivers seat stating that work is in
progress and truck should not be moved; and
(3)Disconnecting the tractor from the trailer being serviced.

OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 1910.147(C)(4)(i)
