Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to crushing injuries and/or death.
(a) Saddlepack Trail job site: On or about 06/03/02 employees were
raising, by
hand, a wooden 2X6X11 feet wide and 19 feet high interior framing wall that
kicked out and fell onto 2 employees seriously injuring one of them.
Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method to abate this
hazard is to use  a crane
or other mechanical handling equipment to raise the wall in accordance
with Unit 9, Modern
Carpentry-Building Construction details in Easy-to-Understand
Form.to-Understand
