Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The
employer failed to
provide a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that
were likely to
cause death or serious physical harm to employees:
a. On or about April 25, 2002, at the jobsite located at 725 Judson Avenue
in Evanston,
Illinois, employees working on an aluminum extension ladder were exposed
to injuries from
falls due to overloading. This information is provided by the manufacturer
in the
manufacturer's specifications.
Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the
requirements of 29
CFR 1903.19(d).
