Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the all establishment: While the employees performing work's material
withdrawal
task, among others, was observed it a consecuence of roof's water leaks,
parts
of cement
ceiling were released.
Hazard: Head injuries, Slippings and/or falls.
Among other method, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is making a new ceiling with a sealing compound.
En todo el establecimiento: Mientras los empleados realizaban trabajos de
recogido de
materiales de trabajo, entre otros, se observo que a concecuencia de las
filtraciones de
techo, habian partes del techo de cemento que se desprendieron.
Riesgo: Lesiones en la cabeza, resbalones y/o caidas.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es hacer
un techo nuevo con un compuesto de sellador.
