Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the rotating blade:
a)Main Shop Area-The Do All and We-Wells+Sons Band saws were not equipped
with
magnetic restarters or similar devices, as prescribed by American National
Standards Institute
(ANSI) B11.10-1990, Section 5.2.3.4, that in the event of an interruption
in the electrical supply
such a device would prevent the saw from restarting automaticaly when
power is restored.
No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
