prevent unexpected separation and displacement;
b.Regular inspect and maintain the critical rig equipment in safe
operating condition.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct
these
hazards would include:
a.Require that all pressurized lines be secured to an adequate anchorage
point with
safety chains and hooks as referenced in International Association of
Drilling
Contractors' Accident Prevention Reference Guide;
b.Implement a preventative maintenance program that would include
inspections of
critical parts, such as but not limited to the derrick, mast, rotary hose,
safety
relief valves and piping subject to pressurization, periodically during
usage as
referenced in American Petroleum Institute (API) Recommended Practice 54
(1999) and the International Association of Drilling Contractors' (IADC)
Drilling
Manual (1992).
