Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the rotating blade:
a)723 Chaddick-The MSC horizontal bandsaw type 09518812, was not equipped
with  magnetic
restarters or similar device, as prescribed by American National Standards
Institute (ANSI)
B11.10-1990, Section 5.2.3.4, that in the event of an interruption in the
electrical supply such
a device would prevent the saw from restarting automatically when power is
restored.
Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the
requirements of
29 CFR 1903.19(d).s
