Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to being struck-by or crushed-by hazards:
a.On or about 02/17/04 at Southern Screen Scottsboro AL - An employee
operating
a forklift was not wearing a restraining device (seat belt). installed.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method would be to equip
the truck
with a restraining device and ensure that all forklift operators use them
while operating
the equipment.
