Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a. Plating line - On or about February 25, 2004, hoists were not provided with frequent and/or periodic inspections. Employees were required to transfer barrels on the plating lines on a daily basis using hoists. Employees were thereby exposed to crushing hazards. A feasible means of correcting the hazard is to: Follow the ANSI standard B30.16-1973 for Overhead Hoistsad
