"AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS:"
1. Conduct refresher trainer for personnel found to be not wearing their
seatbelts.
2. Obtain a copy of ANSI Standard B56.1. Conduct class or tailgate
training emphasizing
paragraph 5.3.19, which directs that an operator protection device or
system, when provided,
will be used.
3. Enforce compliance by conducting frequent and regular inspections of
the terminal to ensure
that the seatbelt standard is complied with.
ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PER 29 CFR 1903.19
