Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a)Get Catarrh, headache, isolation and skin illnesses such as dermatitis
and cancer.
Employees were working daily inspecting different motor vehicles at the
parking
area under a direct exposition of the sun, rain and another weather
inclemencies
without a roof where they can refuge.
Location:  East area outside of the building known as CESCO Mayaguez.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct
this hazard is the installation of a roof at the small area where the
vehicles will
be inspected.
a)Obtener catarros, dolor de cabeza, insolacion y enfermedades de la piel
tales
como dermatitis y cancer.
Empleados estuvieron trabajando diariamente inspeccionando vehiculos de
motor
en el area del estacionamiento bajo una exposicion directa del sol, la
lluvia y
otras inclemencias del clima sin tener un techo donde ellos puedan
guarecerse.
Localizacion:  Area este exterior del edificio conocido como CESCO
Mayaguez.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es
la instalacion de un techo en el area donde los vehiculos van a ser
inspeccionados."

a)Tripping and falling hazards causing severes contusions, abrasions,
lacerations
and fractures.
Employees were working daily inspecting on different administrative tasks
when the area where they walk continually have corrugated and lifted the
floor
carpets.
Location: integrate area inside of the building of CESCO Mayaguez.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is removing the corrugated floor carpets and
installing tiles
in the area.
a)Riesgos de tropiezos y caidas ocasionando contusiones severas,
abrasiones,
laceraciones y fracturas.
Empleados estuvieron trabajando diariamente en diferentes tareas
administrativas cuando el area de trabajo por donde ellos caminan
continuamente tiene las alfombras del piso arrugadas y levantadas.
Localizacion:  area de integrados en el interior del edificio de CESCO
Mayaguez este exterior del edificio conocido como CESCO Mayaguez.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo
es el remover las alfombras arrugadas e instalar losetas en el area."s
