employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to:
On and prior to August 12, 2005 employees were exposed to accidental
contact with
extremely hot surfaces and fire that is released out of the flues when
performing duties
around the furnaces and the employer did not provide adequate controls to
prevent exposure
to the hazard. Each of six gas furnaces had an attached flue which was
approximately 67

warning.
Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct
this hazard are:
a)Extend flues to a height which prevents employee contact or exposure;
b)Extend flues to vent furnaces outside the building.
