North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North
Carolina:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of
employment which were
free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm
to employees in that employees were exposed to:
a)warehouse area, employees utilize a Clark Order Picker equipped with an
order
basket to get drums and containers from various racks.  Employees do not
utilize
a fall protection system/restraint device and the platform was not
equipped with
standard guardrails on all open sides during the order picking process.
Note:  ASME B56.1 (Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks)
states "be
certain that required restraining means such as railings, chains, cable,
body belt(s) with
lanyard(s), or deceleration devices, etc., are in place and properly
used".ly
