Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/23/05 Condition:Employees were exposed to being struck by collapsing wood roof truss system and falling 9', in that trusses were not properly braced to prevent their collapse. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the design and installation recommendations for temporary bracing of roof trusses of the Building Component Safety Information-BC Summary Sheet for bracing.
