Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to fall hazards:
(a)Jobsite, Walnut Hill Shopping Plaza, Uniontown, PA:  On or about
6/21/05 an employee
was working in the platform on the boom-supported elevating work platform
without wearing
any fall protection.  The fall hazard from the platform to the ground was
approximately 22 feet.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to ensure employees wear personal fall arrest equipment when working in
the boom-supported
elevating work platform.
