Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to fall hazards:
a)County Road 87, Calera, AL - On or about 08/03/05, employees were
elevated with a
platform that extended more than 10 inches beyond the wheels, exposing
employees to
a fall hazard of 15 feet.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to comply
with the  manufacturer's (JCB) recommendation and ANSI B56.6-1992, Section
5.15, Safety
Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks requirements for personnel
platforms.
