were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
A.  Receive injuries due to that at the time of inspection at the
establishment Pediatric
Center, building, 2nd.floor main corridor, where the premises were used,
in whole or
in part by employees, as a walkway to several work compartments and the
time clock
station; did not comply with all the occupational safety and health
regulations issued
pursuant to this act in that employees were exposed to hazards and/or
illnesses such as
but not limited to falls or contusions by being strucked due to:
1. Poor illumination levels, in the range of 0.4fc to 0.8fc when
recomended lighting
levels for corridors and stairs at office work areas are in the range of
7.5fc to 20fc of
luminescence, as stated in ANSI/IESNA RP-1-1993 standars.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptabble abatement method to
correct these
hazards is to:
a.Make the appropiated repairs accordingly and expeditious to increase the
work
area luminescence as stated in ANSI/IESNA RP-1-1993 standards; and/or
b.Relocated employees to a place free from these and other recognized
hazards.
Recibir lesiones debido a que al momento de la inspeccion en el
establecimiento Centro
Pediatrico, 2do.piso edificio, corredor principal, donde las premisas eran
usadas en todo
o en parte por los empleados, como paseo a varios compartimientos de
trabajo y a
estacion de ponchador, no cumplio con todas los regulaciones de seguridad
y salud
emitidas de acuerdo a esta ley; en que los empleados estaban expuestos a
riesgos y/o
enfermedades tales como pero no limitados a caidas o contusiones por
golpes debido a:
1. Niveles de iluminacion pobre, en los rangos de 0.4fc a 0.8fc cuando los
niveles de
iluminacion para corredores y escaleras en areas de trabajo oficinezco son
en el rango
de 7.5fc a 20fc de luminiscencia, segun establecido en los estandares
ANSI/IESNA RP-1-
1993.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y factible para corregir este
riesgo es:
a. Hacer las reparaciones requeridas y en forma expedita para aumentar la
luminiscencia
del area de trabajo segun se establece en los estandars de ANSI/IESNA
RP-1-1993; y/o
b. Reubicar los empleados a un area que este libre de estos y otros
riesgos reconocidos.
