Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. Receive injuries due to the broken concrete pieces that were loosen from the window eaves; 6'long x 2'wide (health room); 3'x 2'(English room) and many others sections of the eaves (75'long aprox.). Employees were exposed to be imacted by those loosen concrete peaces. Among other method, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is using a wire net around the afected eaves or surround or protect the exposed area. a. Recibir lesiones debido a pedazos de cementos rotos que se desprenden de los aleros de las ventanas 6 pies de largo x 2 pies de ancho (salon de salud); 3 pies x 2 (salon de Ingles) y en otras secciones a lo largo de los aleros de 75 pies aproximadamente. Empleados fueron expuestos a ser impactados por los pedazos que se desprenden. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es colocar una red metalica alrededor de los aleros afectados y/o aislar o proteger la parte expuesta.
