Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:07/20/06 Location:Roof of Building Condition:Metal plate connected wood trusses were not braced with temporary bracing in accordance with the document, "Building Component Safety Information Bulletin BCSI 1-03 Guide To Good Practice For Handling, Installing, & Bracing Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses", or the manufacturer's recommendations. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to install temporary bracing in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, or the booklet, "Building Components Safety Information BCSI 1-03 Guide To Good Practice For Handling, Installing, & Bracing Metal Plate Connected Wood Trusses". Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
