Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to fall hazards:
(a) Employees were exposed to fall hazards while working from a platform
suspended
by an all terrain forklift; the floor dimensions exceeded two times the
load center
distance.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement would
be to
follow the guidelines set forth in the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI)
standard B56.6 Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks, section
8.25.1(b).
