Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the construction project at 419 Ave De Diego Rio Piedras it was
observed that the
employer, Santos Colon Plumbing, did not provide training to his employees
related to
handle  Domestic Violence situations in the Workplace or Place of
Employment, as
required by the Act for the implementation of a Protocol to Handle
Domestis
Violence
Situations in the workplace, Act No. 217 of 2006. (for public and private
employers).
Hazard: Exposure to domestic violence situations in the workplace.
Method to abate the hazard: The employer shall provide trainning to all the
establisment's employees related to handle Domestic Violence in the
workplace.

En el proyecto de construccion 419 Ave De Diego en Rio Piedras se observo
que el
patrono, Santos Colon Plumbing, no proveyo adiestramiento a sus empleados
relacionado
al manejo de situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el lugar de trabajo,
como lo requiere
la Ley para la Implementacion del Protocolo para manejar situaciones de
Violencia
Domestica en el lugar de trabajo, Ley Num. 217 del 2006. (para patronos
del
sector
publico y privado).
Riesgo: Exposicion a situaciones de violencia domestica en el lugar de
trabajo.
Metodo de corregir el riesgo: El patrono tiene que proveer adiestramiento
a todos los
empleados del establecimiento relacionado con el manejo de situaciones de
Violencia
Domestica en el empleo. Hay informacion disponible en la Oficina de la
Procuradora de
la Mujer, una guia para patronos, titulada, Violencia Domestica en el
lugar de Trabajo
y otras referencias provistas durante la inspeccion.
