Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling loads: (a) Facility, Berry Road, Washington, PA: On or about June 8, 2009, frequent (monthly) hoist inspections are not being conducted. In addition, there are no daily inspections being performed. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement for this violation is to conduct daily and monthly inspections in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. 0 0 y 0 <
