ladder stands:
a) Warehouse Area - On or about March 27, 2009, employees were using a 9
riser
mobile ladder stand with missing and damaged parts exposing employees to
potential
injury from falling no less than 84 inches above grade.
ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement
method
to correct this hazard is: Comply with the manufacturer's requirements and
ANSI A14.7-1991
for Mobile Ladder Stands and Mobile Ladder Stand Platforms. Section 6.3
requires: "Units that
are damaged subsequent to their receipt, and/or are worn beyond repair
shall be destroyed.
Never climb a damaged ladder stand or ladder."
