pyrotechnic devices due to storage in an occupied building that did not
constitute an approved magazine:
a)Site, police station building, 215 E. Main St, Belhaven, NC - On or
about July 3rd and 4th,
2009, twelve (12) employees were exposed to a hazard of potential
explosion and burns
resulting from storage of 16 cartons of fireworks with a net explosive
mass of 320 pounds
inside the town council meeting room within the police department
building.

Among other feasible methods to correct this, the town officials could
have ensured that the pyrotechnic
materials were stored in an approved magazine.
