SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended,0 as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees operating a Nissan forklift model number CPH01115V were not wearing the seatbelt and were exposed to the hazard of being thrown out and crushed. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among others, is to enforce the use of wearing the seatbelt. B. Employer knew or should have known that employees operating a Nissan 30 forklift serial number 3F475 were not wearing seatbelts and were exposed to the hazard of being thrown out and crushed. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among others, is to install an operable seatbelt for employees to use.

Employer knew or should have known that employees working underneath twisted, loose, and unsecured duct work in the warehouse were exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling duct work. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among others, is to ensure that the duct work is secured properly.

Employer knew or should have known that employees working on, near, and/or around hot, exposed steam pipes on calendar one in calendar room were exposed to the hazard of contacting the exposed pipes and being burned. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among others, is to guard and/or insulate the exposed pipes. B. Employer knew or should have known that employees working on, near, and/or around hot, exposed steam pipes in the boiler room were exposed to the hazard of contacting the exposed pipes and being burned. A feasible and useful method, among others, is to guard and/or insulate the exposed pipes. C. Employer knew or should have known that employees working on, near, and/or around hot, exposed steam pipes on right side of calendar two in calendar room were exposed to the hazard of contacting the exposed pipes and being burned. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among others, is to guard and/or insulate the exposed pipes. D. Employer knew or should have known that employees working on, near, and/or around hot, exposed steam pipes on left side of calendar two in calendar room were exposed to the hazard of contacting the exposed pipes and being burned. A feasible and useful method of abatement, among others, is to guard and/or insulate the exposed pipes.
