Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that:
a)Jobsite - on or about April 21, 2010 - employees were exposed to a
struck by
hazard while installing wood trusses that were not properly braced in
accordance with
Building Component Safety Information (BCSI) BCSI-B2.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE MEANS OF
ABATEMENT INCLUDE FOLLOWING ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH
IN THE BCSI-B2 TRUSS INSTALLATION & TEMPORARY RESTRAINT/BRACING
GUIDELINES.
ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS
ITEM.
