Occupational Safety and Health Act of
1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment
which were free from recognized
hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical
harm to employees in that employees
were exposed to struck-by, fall and other serious hazards associated with
working in and around damaged
,defective , and uninspected Vehicle mounted elevating and rotating work
platforms.

Violation : The employer did not provide a work place free from recognized
hazards that were causing or
likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to the
hazards .  Vehicle Mounted
Elevating and Rotating Platforms " Failed" a ANSI/OSHA mandated annual
inspection, worn cylinder rods,
chaffed hydraulic hoses, worn knuckle pin and bushing were not replaced or
repaired and elevating platforms
remained in service, being used on a daily basis.
Method of Abatement: Follow manufacturers repair and replacement
recommendations found in owners
manual.
Make all necessary repairs to comply with ANSI/OSHA Annual inspection
standards.
Require all uninspected and unsafe equipment be taken out of service and
repaired before further use.
