Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employee in that
employee was exposed to a fall hazard from a wood pallet elevated on the
forks of a powered
industrial truck:
a)731 Pascack Road, Paramus, NJ: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard
of
approximately 5 feet while working from a wood pallet elevated on the forks
of a Mitsubishi powered industrial truck, on or about 11/10/2010.
ABATEMENT NOTE: One feasable and acceptable method of abatement, among
others is to
provide a ladder to safely access the area of work.
