3, 2011, carpenters were observed installing roof trusses that were not
being braced and were
exposed to a hazard of being crush/struck by collapsing roof trusses and
an 8'2" to a 30'7" fall
hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct this
hazard is to install bracing and hoist the trusses in accordance with the
Wood Truss Council of
America (WTC) recommendations per BCSI-B1 " Guide for Handling,
Installing, Restraining
& Bracing of Trusses".

legged wire rope sling. The use of a single pick point to lift truss may
cause lateral bending of
the truss. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement
methods to correct this
hazard is to install bracing and hoist the trusses in accordance with the
Wood Truss Council of
America (WTC) recommendations per BCSI-B1 " Guide for Handling,
Installing, Restraining
& Bracing of Trusses".
