Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to falls, struck-by and crushing hazards: (a)On or about 07/07/11 - Framing Shed #2, employees were crossing onto the chain conveyor and standing between logs when going to and from the branding station. (b)On or about 07/07/11 - Framing Shed #2 at the east and west ends of the building, employees were moving across the moving conveyor. (c)On or about 07/07/11 - Framing Shed #2, employees checking the dryness of logs to prepare for branding were positioned on the moving conveyor. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to provide warning signs and personnel barriers as required by ASME B20.1-2009, Section 6.3, "Safety Considerations for Chain Conveyors".ons
