Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to a struck by hazards as the storage rack columns were not
anchored to the floor
to resist horizontal displacement.
a) Sweep 1 area; Employees were exposed to a struck by hazard as the
storage racks
were not anchored to the floor to resist horizontal displacement, on or
about 02/28/12.
b) Sweep 2 area; Employees were exposed to a struck by hazard as the
storage racks
were not anchored to the floor to resist horizontal displacement, on or
about 02/28/12.
c) 60 Rack area; Employees were exposed to a struck by hazard as the
storage racks
were not anchored to the floor to resist horizontal displacement, on or
about 02/28/12.
ABATEMENT OBSERVED DURING INSPECTION
NO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
PROPOSED METHOD OF ABATEMENT:
The hazardous condition can be effectively abated by bolting the upright
supports to the ground.
