North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to an impalement hazard: a)job site, rear entrance - 3 employees exposed to 2 uncapped anchor bolts, 40 inches in height above the concrete slab, onto which employees could fall and become impaled. ABATEMENT NOTE: One feasible abatement method to correct this hazard is to cap the 40 inch high vertical anchor bolts protruding from the concrete slab on the front porch.
