Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:11/13/13 Location:East Side of the Building Equipment:Gradall Forklift, Model 5#43C-6, Serial #0288533 Condition:An employee, operating a forklift, did not utilize its equipped seatbelt. Among other methods, one reasonable and feasible means of abatement method to correct this hazard would be to replace and utilize the installed restraint system in accordance with the current version of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B56.1-2009,"Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks", and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1-2000, "Safety Standard for Low and High Lift Trucks."
