29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):  Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level shall be protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems:    a.  On or about May 24, 2011, at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting decking operations were exposed to falls of twenty-eight (28') feet eight (8") inches created by the presence of unprotected sides and edges.    THE EAST IOWA DECKS SUPPORT, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 311247548, CITATION NUMBER 2, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 23, 2008, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 4100 FERRY ROAD, WARRENVILLE, IL 60555.
