29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and cables may not be used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure. Production/Assembly/Testing Area. A 240v spliced cable, not in conduit, was tied into a circuit breaker in a panel box in the adjacement company's work space and run across the ceiling and down a column to provide power for periodic testing of power wash system components. The power to the cable was turned on and off at the breaker when needed. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6): Certification. The employer shall certify that each operator has been trained and evaluated as required by this paragraph (l). The certification shall include the name of the operator, the date of the training, the date of the evaluation, and the identity of the person(s) performing the training or evaluation. The employer did not certify that powered industrial truck operators had received training, including a performance evaluation (driving test) at least once every three years. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
