29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(iii)(C): Each cord set, attachment cap, plug and receptacle of cord sets, and any equipment connectedby cord and plug, except cord sets and receptacles which are fixed and not exposed to damage, shall be visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as deformed or missing pins or insulation damage, and for indications of possible internal damage. Equipment found damaged ordefective shall not be used until repaired. (a) The employer did not ensure that electrical equipment used to conduct drywall work was checked before use. The electrical equipment consisted of extension cords, power strips, and electric power tools. Additionally, employees were using equipment that was not properly grounded. Employees were exposed to an electrical shock.

29 CFR 1926.404(f)(6): Grounding path. The path to ground from circuits, equipment, and enclosures shall be permanent and continuous. (a) The employer did not ensure that employees conducting drywall work were using electrical equipment that was properly grounded. The grounding pin was removed from an electrical cord and power strip. Employees were exposed to an electrical shock.
