29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):     "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and verticalsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.      a)  At the site, an employee was working on a wooden platform at a height of 7 feet without the use of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.452(c)(2):     Frames and panels shall be braced by cross, horizontal, or diagonal braces, or combination thereof,which secure vertical members together laterally. The cross braces shall be of such length as will automatically square and align vertical members sothat the erected scaffold is always plumb, level, and square. All brace connections shall be secured.      a)  At the site, employees were working from tubular welded frame scaffolds that were not equipped with an adequate amount of cross bracing.
