29 CFR 1926.501(c): The employer did not ensure that when employees were exposed to falling objects: In addition to having employees wear hardhats, the employer shall implement one of the measures outlined in 501(c)(1) through (c)(3) which include:  Provide a toeboard, or screen or the equivalent, or a canopy,  or keep objects back away from the edge,  or barricade the area to which objects can fall:    a)  Employees were exposed to falling pieces of concrete that was being chopped from the steel structure of the bridge. Vertical safety netting and barricades were not sufficient to stop the concrete from falling / bouncing beyond the containment barriers of the drop zone.     Location:  Culver Viaduct elevated train bridge, Smith and 9th St, Brooklyn , N.Y.     On or about 1/3/2012     NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
