29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii):     Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s):    Jobsite located at 13010 F Plaza, Omaha, NE:  The employer failed to ensure that the point of operation on a Craftsman Drill Press and a Bickford Drill Press were guarded to prevent employees from having any part of their body in the danger zone.      Abatement certification is required for this violation.  The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.

29 CFR 1910.243(c)(1):     General requirements. Abrasive wheels shall be used only on machine provided with safety guards as defined in paragraph (c) (1) through (4) of this section.    Jobsite located at 13010 F Plaza, Omaha, NE: The employer failed to ensure that portable grinding equipment was used with guards installed while being utilized.  On February 24,2012, an employee of Ribbon Weld was injured when a cut-off wheel, improperly installed on a portable grinder, failed and there was not a guard in place to protect the employee.  This grinder was utilized by employees of Omaha Track Equipment, the owners of the portable grinder.      Abatement certification is required for this violation.  The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations.
