OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):     The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by forklifts.     On or about 04/05/2012, in the warehouse area, the employer did not take steps to increase the visibility of pedestrian employees such that forklift drivers were better able to see them.     Abatement Notes:  Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct the hazard include: 1)  requiring employees in the certain designated high-traffic areas to wear high-visibility clothing; or 2) installing light on forklifts to assist in visually indicating to pedestrians that forklifts are in the area.
