29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section except when:    On or about May 18, 2012, two employees were not protected while working in an unprotected trench 6-7 feet in depth.  The employees were exposed to the hazards associated with cave ins.
