29 CFR 1910.110(b): The handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gas cylinders shall be in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in 1910.6 a) Central Sheet Metal Fabricators, Inc. Middlesex, NJ site - Gas Pad Storage Area: Compressed gas in cylinders were commingled and stored with other chemicals, including but not limited to, Acetylene, Propane, and Oxygen. Gases and chemicals were not grouped by type and separated by distance or an approved barrier. 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): Working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less was used for storage: a) Central Sheet Metal Fabricators, Inc. Middlesex, NJ site - Electrical panel boxes rated 600 volts or less were blocked by storage. A minimum of 30 inches of space was not maintained: 1) Production area - Bay 1: Electrical Panel Box #3 was obstructed by filing cabinets. 2) Production area - Bay 1: Electrical Panel #5 was obstructed by a temporary storage container, which held materials to be utilized at a job site off of the property. 3) Production area - Bay 1: Electrical Panel #6 was obstructed by a Doall drill. 4) Production area - Bay 1: Electrical Panel labeled Bay 3 Fleetwash, near Cincinnati Power Sheer, was obstructed by sheet metal stored in front and sides. 5) Production area - Bay 1: Electrical panel on southeast wall was obstructed by a table utilized for completing work. 6) Production area - Bay 2: Electrical Panel labeled PPXO was obstructed by sheet metal and materials stored in front and sides. 7) Production area - Bay 2: Electrical Panel "F" was obstructed by stored welding supplies on carts, which are moved by rolling them throughout the facility. Condition observed on or about May 31, 2012.
