Where large size, configuration or other structural design does not allow openings to be decked over (such as elevator shafts, stair wells, etc.) employees shall be protected in accordance with 1926.760(a)(1). Instance (a) Location - 203 Littleton Road, Westford, Ma: On or about 6/16/2012, the employer had numerous open holes adjacent to where employees exited and entered the decking operation from a scissor lift.
