In this case, the employer opened the doors to an adjacent spray booth and attempted to use the booths ventilation system to exhaust flammable vapors. Adjustments and repairs shall be done only by designated personnel. Jobsite located at 53577 Hwy 20, Plainview, NE: Gantry cranes and hoists at the facility which were inspected in March of 2012 were placed back into operation without the deficiencies noted being corrected. Most of the hoist units and bridges involved were manufactured by Stahl. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. In the assembly area, 1.5 ton cranes (in tandem) are being used to elevate completed trailer units (15,000 lbs) for loading onto transport trailers. The crane is also being used to lift the trailers to install tires. The trailers weight between 5,799lbs. and 12,500lbs. depending on the assembly stage.
