29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii):     Special handtools for placing and removing material shall be such as to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone. Such tools shall not be in lieu of other guarding required by this section, but can only be used to supplement protection provided.    a. Boning room - On or about August 16, 2012, employee(s) were required to hand-feed meat (fresh pork back ribs) into a rotating saw blade. Special hand tools were not used to permit safe handling of the meat without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone. Employee(s) were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with rotating saw blades.    b. Porkchop saw room - On or about August 16, 2012, employee(s) were required to hand feed frozen meat (porkchops) into a rotating a rotating saw blade on the vertical band saw. Special hand tools were not used to permit safe handling of the meat without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone. Employee(s) were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with rotating saw blades.
