29 CFR 1910.1000(c):     An employee(s) was exposed to Silica Crystalline Quartz (Respirable) in excess of the 8-hour time weighted average limits listed in Table Z-3:      a.  On or about 7/17/2012, Terminal, An employee personal 8-hour time-weighted average (8-Hr TWA) exposure to respirable dust containing 53% Crystalline Silica Quartz was 0.46 mg/m3 during trans-loading of resin sand and raw sand from railcars to sand truck trailers and from sand truck trailers to sand truck trailers.  This exposure exceeded the OSHA 8-Hr TWA Crystalline Silica Quartz PEL of 0.182 mg/m3 by 2.4 times for respirable dust containing 53% Crystalline Silica Quartz.  The personal air monitoring consisted of one sample collected during a 455 minute sampling period on 7/17/2012.  The remaining un-sampled time of 25 minutes was included in the 8-Hr TWA as a zero exposure period.
