29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):   Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b)    The employer does not provide fall protection during roof framing work.  This violation was observed on or about August 2, 2012, on the roof of a residential home under construction where employees were exposed to a fall hazard when tying down roof trusses 18 feet above the ground without a fall protection system.    Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above the lower levels are protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, or are employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b).
