29 CFR 1910.178(f)(2): The storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas fuel was not in accordance with NFPA Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA No. 58-1969), which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6. a) Cylinder storage area, Bay 4 area, Cherry Hill Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650: Observed on or about August 13, 2012, sixteen cylinders of propane were observed being stored inside the facility. The amount of propane being stored inside the building was in excess of permissible limits established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA No. 58-1969). Employees working inside the facility were exposed to a fire hazard.

Employees using the saw to cut metal parts were exposed to a cut-by hazard. b) Haco-Atlantic hydraulic press brake, 275 ton, model HDE-275-12-10, 61 Cherry Hill Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650: Observed on or about August 13, 2012, a hydraulic press brake was being used without the use of point-of-operation guards. Employees using the press brake to cut steel sheets were exposed to a crushed-by hazard. c) Haco-Atlantic hydraulic press brake, 250 ton, model 25-10-8, 61 Cherry Hill Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650: Observed on or about August 13, 2012, a hydraulic press brake was being used without the use of point-of-operation guards. Employees using the press brake to bend corrugated bridge decking were exposed to a crushed-by hazard. d) Niagara hydraulic press brake, 135 ton, model HBM105-2, 61 Cherry Hill Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650: Observed on or about August 13, 2012, a hydraulic press brake was being used without the use of point-of-operation guards. Employees using the press brake to cut steel sheets were exposed to a crushed-by hazard. e) Airam pneumatic 125 ton hydraulic press, Roll Forming Line, Cherry Hill Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650: Observed on or about August 13, 2012, a hydraulic press used as part of the Roll Forming Line was not guarded. Employees operating the roll forming line were exposed to a crushed-by hazard.
